Who are we?
PraxisUnico is the UK’s leading organisation for Research Commercialisation professionals, consisting of 2600 members representing 169 organisations. Technology Transfer Officers in UK institutions control annual budgets that range from £200,000 up to as much as £2,000,000, with responsibility for key areas of commercialisation - consultancy, IT, collaborative and contract research, IP, licensing and spin-out formation - and they are always interested in meeting current and new suppliers to the sector.

Our events portfolio is made up of an annual conference and awards ceremony and a calendar of UK & international training events.
Through these events and our online network we provide a forum for business development and the building of professional networks. Through commercial partnerships you can increase your profile and gain access to the UK’s foremost Universities. You will also meet some of the world’s leading thinkers & innovators who are always on the lookout for the services and experience of vendor companies.
The good news
Good news seems to be thin on the ground at the moment but the commercialisation sector has lots of great stories to tell. Higher Education Institutions business and community interaction in 2008-09 was valued at £2.96 billion. The growing commercial activity below demonstrates GB Plc is wise to look to greater collaboration between academia and business in driving invention and innovation.

Who will you meet?
Our annual conference and awards are attended by over 300 delegates, while each of our training events attract on average 50 attendees.
These events are attended by senior-level decision makers within UK and international institutions. Where can you meet us?
Our Annual Conference
One of our main events each year is the 2-day Annual Conference. In 2012 it takes place on the 14th and 15th of June in Southampton. Preceding the conference we are co-hosting a dinner with ARMA (Association of Research Managers & Administrators) for invited attendees.
Our Annual Awards
One of the highlights of our year is the annual Impact Awards taking place on the evening of the 14th of June. This is a celebration of UK research commercialisation at its finest.
Training Events
Another way to meet us is through our CPD & training events. Working with international academics and business people we run UK and international events on technology/knowledge transfer and commercialisation. Core subjects covered include; Technology Transfer, Spin-out Company Formation, Advanced Licensing Skills, Research Contracts, Business Development & Marketing and Healthcare Technologies.
We are continuing to develop international partnerships with countries such as India, Brazil, China and Japan in delivering bespoke training programmes for their growing commercialisation industries.
